I've seen people sell for real money, but for 200+ dollers? Why would anyone do that!

Back in my Runescape days (shame shame ) one of my friends got on E-Bay and searched for Runescape. There were a lot of accounts being sold then, but one seemed to stick out... An already bidded-on account was going for $1200 and there were still 3 days left in the trade .... I find this amusingly sad, as people have such pathetic excuses for lives that they will buy non-real items for a GAME with real money...

There is always a price to being the best at something. And even if you do buy the highest lvl stuff, there will always be someone with a better item then you.

This isn't as big of a problem for me in GW. I mean sure it's lame but near prefect stuff costs a fraction of the price and works just as well.
In games like Diablo II where items are MUCH more important it was terribly annoying. Like 2 days into the new ladder season on west there was this wirlwind assassin (NASTY build) who had flawless gear while everyone else was just sitting on 1 or 2 decent items and nothing more. I ran into her constantly in public duel games and she would take out the entire group. 3 weeks in when I had near perfect items she got owned though. Still, it was annoying for those 3 weeks. |

I have question for all of you. Are you people more against the sellers or the buyers?

It's particularly funny since the REAL difference between a plain white item and the Gold Godly DeathSword of Death is usually pretty minimal - nice, but not critical.

In response to Soviet's question:
It's not that I'm against either buyer or seller, I just find the buying (more than the selling at least) of non-realworld items ridiculous. |

Just be forewarned. Arenanet and more importantly NCSoft has stated this will not be tolerated in any way, and will eventually result in accounts getting perminatly banned for it. not just game accounts but physical addresses, and e-mail accounts too... so even if you go buy the game again you will STILL not be able to get in...
Purchasing stuff through Ebay, EZGaming, IGXE, or any other type of company out there doing this will result in a ban. and its easy to track. Easier then anyone would believe... Just do yourself a favor, stay clear of it... play the game... |
